Rape in Haiti's tent cities

Months after the catastrophic earthquake, Haiti has begun rearing an animal from within - rapists.

With no running water, or housing structures, women find themselves cramped in small spaces, living in squatter camps amongst strangers. Household chores require that they walk miles to collect water and other various necessities.

When the sun goes down, the animal comes out. The rapists spare no one, raping children as young as 5 and going right up to elderly women, old enough to be their mothers. This, in a country plagued by H.I.V
